Fruits take a little preparation removing peels, seeds and pits. Cut into pieces and puree in a blender or food processor with a little steam distilled water or organic fruit juice if needed.
*Avoid citrus and tomato, they are too acidic for babies.
Freeze the organic baby food in small non-toxic containers.
I haven't had much luck finding non-plastic or non-aluminum ice cube trays which are an ideal portion size for babies. If you find any please let me know with the contact link below.
You could try lining traditional trays with pieces of wax paper so the food doesn't come into direct contact with the plastic.
After they are frozen you can transfer them to other non-toxic containers. "Mason Jars" work well for this.
When you are ready to feed your baby a portion of your organic baby food just thaw in the fridge over night and serve at room temperature.
Note: Consuming extreme temperature (hot or cold) foods is harmful to your stomach lining, and makes your body do unnecessary work to cool or heat the food internally. Remember your internal body temp is 98.6 or so.
As you know babies grow at an alarming rate and what you fuel that growth with matters immensely. The number of pesticides found in commercially grown fruits is alarming.
Protect your family from these potent toxins by always buying the following fruits organic:
*Peaches topped the dirty dozen list. Almost 97% of peaches tested positive for pesticides, and almost 87% had two or more pesticide residues.
*Apples 92% of apples tested positive, and 79% had two or more pesticides.
*Nectarines
*Strawberries
*Cherries
*Pears
*Imported Grapes
These chemicals and others have been link to a wide variety of prenatal problems, childhood ailments, cancers, and Alzheimer's.
All through our lives these silent poisons bombard our immune systems leaving us open to attack.
