Do not use the microwave to heat your food (any food).
The microwave oven has been ban in Russia since the late 70's, due to the dangers of eating what comes out of it!
This device changes the food on a molecular level, turning it into toxic, often carcinogenic, non-food.
You will poison even organic recipes by microwaving.
Researchers from around the world have concluded the following concerning the use of microwave ovens:
*Continually eating food from a microwave oven causes long term permanent brain damage by "shorting out" electrical impulses in the brain (de-polarizing the brain tissue).
*Minerals, vitamins, and nutrients of all microwaved food is reduced or altered so that the body gets little or no benefit, or the body absorbs altered compounds that cannot be processed.
*The minerals in vegetables are altered into cancer causing free radicals when cooked in the microwave.
*The human body cannot metabolize the unknown by-products created in microwaved food.
*Male and female hormone production is shut down and/or altered by continually eating microwaved foods.
*The effects of microwaved food by-products are long term and permanent in the human body.
*Microwaved foods cause stomach and intestinal cancerous tumors.
*The prolonged eating of microwaved foods causes cancerous cells to increase in the blood.
*Continual ingestion of microwaved food causes immune system deficiencies through lymph gland and blood serum changes.
*Eating microwaved food causes loss of memory, concentration, emotional instability, and a decrease in intelligence.
Just for laughs...check out this actual microwavable product, who would eat something called that?
No offense to who ever does, but your spotted dick is not the same spotted dick you thought it was, once it's microwaved.
Take the Organic Cooking Challenge:
Throw out your microwave oven.
Organic cooking or not, the dangers of this device are too great.
The few extra minutes it takes to warm and cook your food the "old fashioned" way is worth the investment to your organic health.
Organic Cooking Tip # 2:
Do not eat or drink extreme temperature foods or drinks.
Room temperature or slightly warmer.
Your core body temperature is around 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit, any time you eat or drink hot or cold foods your body must work to heat or cool it down to use it.
Consuming extreme temperature food and drinks also thins the stomach lining, causing improper absorption of your nutrients.
I keep my water jug on the counter, not the fridge.
Room temperature water is more readily absorbed and therefore more body quenching.
I don't even have ice trays in my freezer, which really surprises my guests!
Frozen foods like ice cream (which is my favorite) should be warmed in the mouth, before swallowing.
Organic Cooking Tip # 3:
Do not overcook your food. This is a big problem in America. We overcook everything.
Recent studies suggest that there is a relationship between methods of cooking and various cancers and heart disease.
In one study researchers found that those who ate their beef medium-well or well-done had more than three times the risk of stomach cancer than those who ate their beef rare or medium-rare.
Another study showed that if you cooked your burgers at a very low temperature and flipped them every few minutes the toxic threat was greatly reduced.
The more food is cooked, the more difficult it is to digest and metabolize.
Some of today's so called "food allergies" and many other diseases can be blamed on overcooking our food.
Eat as many raw foods as possible.
Eating the same amount of raw food as cooked food helps to minimize the toxic effects of cooked food.
Chewing food thoroughly helps lessen the effects of overcooking.
Your organic health is in the bag if you can take the Challenge! Remember a few of these, and other important tips, and make them part of your organic cooking practices.
