Powerfully Organic Cat Food

organic cat Bernie

Organic cat food is the best defense for your pet's health.

Pet foods that are commercially sold today are not what nature intended your cat to eat.

They do not provide the nutrition for a strong immune system that is needed to fight cancer, chronic renal failure, irritable bowel disease, diabetes, and many of the other serious diseases our cats are faced with these days.

Cats are carnivores, plain and simple. They need meat to survive. Feeding organic pet food to your cat will improve their health.

Take The Organic Cat Food Challenge:

Create the kind of diet your cat would eat if he was hunting for his meals like birds, small mammals, reptiles, insects and maybe some grass.

Tammi's Tidbits: Meat by-products aren't actual meat. It's waste. Feet, feathers, beaks, hooves, and floor waste, including feces, dead and diseased animals.

Buy organic meats for your organic cat food to avoid growth hormones, pesticides, and antibiotics among others.

Do not use pork or fish. The parasites in these could give your cat problems.

No canned tuna - it has added salt.

Basic Organic Cat Food Recipe

* Start with 75-80 percent meat (organic beef, chicken, lamb, turkey)

* Add to that 20-25 percent veggies (organic carrots, zucchini, cooked sweet potatoes). Pulped or grated for easy digestion.

* Organic chicken necks give your pet the bone they need and a good dental workout that they enjoy.

If no bones are given, replace with added organic bone meal. This is an essential addition to your organic cat food diet.

Remember your cat would be consuming the whole animal if they were in the wild, so an organic internal organ, from the same animal you are using for the meal is a good idea. Liver, heart, gizzards, 2-3 times a week.

Healthy additions to consider

* Organic raw egg (crush the shell for a bone substitute)

* Organic cold pressed flaxseed or salmon oil

organic cat grass

* Organic plain yogurt

* Organic grass seed grown in a nice sealed ceramic container

Some people add grains such as oatmeal or barley. Many people feel the grains are unnecessary, I do not use grains for my cat.

Another problem in our society is over feeding our pets.

Cats do not need a constant availability of food.

They do well on two or three meals a day. After 20-30 min , clean up any leftover food and the food area.

Water

Use steam distilled water. It is the purest of all waters.aquarium water

*Consider adding a tsp of organic apple cider vinegar to the water (no other kind of vinegar).

*Or add the water from veggie cooking, it's packed full of nutrients.

There is tons of information on the internet about raw diets for pets and varied opinions about the subject.

My information is what I found to work for me and my cat.

It was no easy task to get my cat on a raw diet either.

I adopted him at the age of about 10 years, from my local animal shelter.

He threw up almost everything he ate. I started doing some research and decided I would try the raw diet for his sake. sneaky Bernie

I started him slowly, sneaking in a little raw meat from my planned dinner.

I increased the amount every couple of days and added in small amounts of fresh, grated organic veggies (carrots, zucchini, cooked sweet potatoes).

A small amount of organic plain yogurt was given as a treat. 1/2 tsp to start and then 1 tsp.

He still threw up at first.

Who knows what he was eating before he came to me, he was found running stray.

His stomach issues subsided and eventually he was organic too! He is in excellent health and has blessed my life.

There are many stories of seriously ill cats being brought back to health by an organic cat food diet.

Diseases like cancer have actually been healed by an organic raw diet. You will no doubt come across some of these stories if you research the subject yourself.

It is truly remarkable and I encourage to try it for the sake of your own cat.

The benefits of organic food for your cat and your entire family are unquestionable.

Absolutely do not let your cat wander outside!

There are so many dangers for your precious feline in the great outdoors.

scratching post

Try leashing or place the cat in a carrier and put outside for some air and sight stimulation.

I use a totally mesh carrier. My cat loves it.

I set it down in the yard and he walks from the door, straight to the carrier and lays down to sun bathe!

Don't leave your pet out in direct sun for any longer than 20 min, shorter when it's extremely hot.

Mornings are best, that's when there is a lot of activity for your cat to watch and enjoy.
